Sanitation that doesn’t add to a hard day
When a family is planning a funeral, the last thing they need is a vendor who shows up with a branded truck, blocks the procession, and asks the funeral director for unit placement during the eulogy. We don’t do that.
Our funeral and memorial bookings get prioritized: same-day delivery in most US cities, drivers in civilian attire, unmarked or minimally-marked trucks, placement coordinated quietly with the funeral home or cemetery groundskeeper before mourners arrive. After the service we pick up at a time the family chooses — not the next morning at 7 AM.
When you need porta potties for a funeral or memorial
Most indoor funeral home services don’t need additional restrooms. The cases where you do:
- Graveside services without a nearby chapel — rural cemeteries, family burial grounds, military cemeteries with limited facilities. The cemetery may have one or two restrooms a half-mile away — not enough for 100+ mourners.
- Military funerals at national cemeteries — large attendance, often hundreds of veterans and family members, sometimes followed by a reception at the cemetery’s pavilion or a nearby park.
- Outdoor celebration-of-life gatherings — held at parks, beaches, ranches, or family properties. Often 200–500 attendees over 4–6 hours.
- Memorial gatherings at private homes — family receptions where a single home bathroom can’t handle 100+ guests respectfully. Deluxe units with sinks are a discreet option here.
- Funeral processions / wakes / vigils — multi-hour outdoor gatherings where mourners come and go. ADA units especially important.
How many units
| Attendees | Standard | ADA | Hand wash |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 50 | 1 | 1 | — |
| 50–100 | 1–2 | 1 | 1 (recommended) |
| 100–200 | 2–3 | 1 | 1 |
| 200–300 | 3–4 | 1–2 | 2 |
| 300–500 | 5–6 | 2 | 2 |
| 500+ | Custom — call | 3+ | 3+ |
ADA-compliant units are essential at every funeral — many mourners are elderly or have mobility needs. We include at least one ADA in every package.
How discreet delivery actually works
- 1Coordination call with the funeral director or family contact. We confirm address, service start time, mourner attendance estimate, placement preference, and pickup window.
- 2Cemetery / venue clearance — we call ahead to the groundskeeper or facility manager to verify access, gates, and any vehicle restrictions.
- 3Quiet morning delivery — typically 1–2 hours before service. Driver in civilian attire, unmarked or minimally-marked truck. Placement at the location specified by the funeral director (typically out of the procession sight line).
- 4No on-site contact during the service — the driver is in and out before mourners arrive. No invoicing or paperwork at the venue.
- 5Pickup at the family’s preferred time — typically the same evening or the next morning. Never during a graveside reception or visiting hours.
Military funerals at national cemeteries
National cemeteries (Arlington, Riverside, Tahoma, Houston, Long Island, etc.) have specific protocols for vendor access, staging, and timing. We’ve worked with most of them. Common requirements:
- Pre-arrival vendor registration with the cemetery administration office
- Specific staging areas for delivery vehicles (no parking near gravesites)
- Coordination with the cemetery’s honor-guard schedule for placement and pickup
- No delivery during 21-gun salutes, taps, or flag-folding ceremonies
- Specific cleanup standards before pickup (waste lined, not exposed during transport)
When you call us about a military funeral, mention the cemetery name — we’ll likely already have the contact, the protocols, and the staging info on file.
